KeyForge generates passwords entirely on your device. No passwords, personal data, or usage information ever leaves your phone. There is no account, no cloud sync, no ads, and no analytics.
KeyForge ("the app") is a local, offline-only password generator for Android. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data. Because the app has no server component and no network communication, there is very little to explain — but we want to be explicit.
The following data is never collected, stored remotely, or transmitted in any form:
The app stores only your preferences in a local database on your device. This includes settings such as your default password style, default lengths, and clipboard options. This data never leaves your device.
Generated passwords are never written to local storage, databases, logs, or any other persistent location.
All password generation uses the Web Cryptography API (crypto.getRandomValues()),
which is provided by the operating system. The insecure Math.random() function
is never used. This ensures that generated passwords are unpredictable and cryptographically
strong.
When you tap the Copy button, the generated password is placed on your device clipboard using the standard system clipboard API. The app does not read from your clipboard at any time.
The app includes an optional setting to automatically clear the clipboard after a configurable delay (30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes). This feature is off by default and operates entirely on-device.
KeyForge makes no network requests of any kind. The app is fully functional without an internet connection and does not require one. No data is sent to any server, including the developer's servers.
The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data processing services.
KeyForge does not collect any personal information from users of any age. The app is safe for use by all age groups. We do not knowingly collect data from children or adults.
The app requests no sensitive Android permissions. The clipboard API used for copying passwords is a standard system function that does not require a declared permission.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "last updated" date. Because the app collects no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect users materially.
